The Industry Biotechnology Centre showcased the opportunities emerging within industrial biotechnology at the Toowoomba Regional Investor Tour, hosted at Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport (WTB) as part of the Global AgInvesting Australia Conference.

Recently, the Industry Biotechnology Centre (IBC) team visited Cauldron Ferm, a pioneering Australian biomanufacturing company, at their demonstration facility in Orange, NSW. Staff spent time with their leadership and technical teams to better understand how their continuous “hyper fermentation” platform is enabling commercially viable biomanufacturing at scale.

Industry Biotechnology Centre (IBC) and FKG Group staff members recently toured the QUT (Queensland University of Technology) Pioneer BioPilot facility in Mackay – a critical link between laboratory research and full-scale manufacturing. The facility enables companies to test and scale technologies that transform sugarcane by-products into real-world solutions.

We were pleased to host government representatives for a tour of the Industry Biotechnology Centre (IBC) project site within AATLIS Industrial Park, showcasing the evolution of the precinct and the future vision for biotechnology in the region.

The FKG Group recently hosted the Future of Biotechnology Innovation Roundtable in Toowoomba, gathering leaders from industry, government, and research to discuss how we can accelerate biotechnology innovation and commercialisation.
